Upcoming Women of St. John's Meeting

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 11. Come hear our guest speaker, Mary Wingate, talk about her husband's paintings of St. John the Baptist that grace our church: The Birth of John the Baptist, The Visitation, The Baptism of Christ and The Martyrdom. Bring your questions about Henry Wingate's research, technique, and inspiration!

The 7pm Rosary will be held in the Main Church so we may meditate on the paintings.

The meeting, talk, Q&A and social time will follow at Padre Pio Hall.

If possible please bring a dessert or snack to share.

All women are welcome!

Upcoming WSJ Meeting

Blessings to you in this New Year!

This is just a reminder about this Thursday’s Women of St. John’s meeting at which our guest speaker, Laraine Bennett, will talk on “The Gift of Temperament: How Understanding Temperament Helps Us Appreciate One Another and Grow in Virtue.”  We hope you can join us for the rosary at 7PM in the Adoration Chapel, followed by the meeting and lecture at Padre Pio Hall.  Mrs. Bennett will have a vending table at which her books and materials will be available for sale.

If you are able to bring a snack or dessert to share at the meeting, you can drop it off at Padre Pio Hall between 6:30 – 6:45 prior to the rosary.  Thank you!

March For Life

St. John's will again take three buses to the March for Life on Friday, January 22, 2010.

If you would like to ride the buses, please call the church office (635-3780) between 9am and 4pm to reserve a seat. We ask that each parishioner pay $5 to ride the bus ($20 per family). If you actually board the bus, you can request a refund for the fee.

The buses are for St. John's parishioners. If the buses are not filled by January 16, seats will be available to others.

Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent.

The buses will leave at approximately 9:30am. Please bring a bag lunch to eat on the bus.

Two more bus captains are needed. When you call the office to sign up, please volunteer. Bus captains must be adults.

Upcoming Events

The next Women of St. John's meeting will take place on Thursday, January 14.
